BEAM PROFILE MONITORS
These type of profile monitors are known as "Harps" because of the way the wires are strung. The device is mounted at a 45 degree angle to the beam line such that the tungsten wires scan vertically and horizontally through the beam. In this example the actuator is a stepper motor.
When equipped with a pneumatic cylinder, it can be used as a "flying wire" device. for higher beam currents.
In all cases, the filament fork is removable through the viewport and can be replaced without having to re-align the system. Position resolution is < 1 micron. As with other beam diagnostics we offer turn-key solutions complete with instrumentation & controls.
